About Yourself: We started saltwater aquaria in 2007 with a brthday gift from my spouse: a 95G Oceanic Wave reef tank. Within months, we were looking for a larger tank! The 95G now houses my wife's breeding seahorses, (Hippocampus Reidi) and a nice collection of zoanthids, palys and other safe corals for the seahorses...
Fish Kept: (1) Magnificent Foxface Rabbitfish (1) Blue Hippo Tang (1) Yellow Tang (2) Black ORA Ocellaris Clownfish (5) Green Chromis (1) Green Mandarin Dragonette (1) Purple Firefish (1) Yellow spooted Goby
Corals/Plants: Acropora, Montipora, Zoanthids, Colt, Frogspawn, Plate coral, GSP,
Tank Size: 180 gallons
Advice: The first and most important lesson I learned in saltwater aquaria: Be patient, grasshopper. Find an honest, experienced LFS which specializes in saltwater, join a local club, and seek advice constantly. Start with as large a tank as you can manage...that will only delay the desire to upgrade!

Advice: I read a book and decided to do Fish only because everything I read made coral and reef systems sound so hard and impossible - the fish only went so smooth I decided to turn it into a reef system - Im glad I did -Read but dont take it all to heart - you can ask 100 reef tank keepers the same question and get 90 different answers - You have to take it on your own and figure out what works best - there will be errors - but in the long run it will pay off - and you will fall in love with it.
