honestly i dont use any ferts lol i know sounds wierd but i try to minimize the amount of chemicles i introduce into the tank, seems to keep my fish healthier that way, the gold algae eaters i have do an awesome job on hair algae. oh here are the links to my new photos,

Looks much better with the lighting showing it off. I'd still like to see some close ups. I've never used fertiliser before, just relying on fish waste to do the job, but supposedly with extra trace elements yada yada, I don't know! I'd think that with increased rate of growth using supplemental co2 there may be an argument for it, but who knows? In nature there isn't supplemental co2, and in nature many of the plants co2 users grow aren't really aquatic plants and they need the higher % co2 that's in the atmosphere (supposedly water cannot hold co2 very well and the equilibrium balances with air having the greater % co2) Anyway, great tank you have there Brandon. I'll be getting some Siamese algae eaters and a couple Otocinclus algae eaters soon. Peter
