About Yourself: Creative brit living in Sydney and loving it.
Advice: 1. Never buy one of any fish! (with a few exceptions) 2. Seperate the plants you buy try cut the end of each stem in different ways plant them in different areas (shaded no not shaded) and just look and see what works the do that with all the stems, works for me. 3. Try to create as many hiding spots and different types of environment as possible, you're fish will love you for it. 4. Read as much as you can and not just from one place. 5. Pre-plan as best you can then adapt as you go along nature has a habit of doing what ever it whats. 6. try and keep the tank as died leaf free as possible. 6. Enjoy!
Fish Kept: Fish 35xBlack Widow tetras. 3xMales Sail fin mollies. 10xBig female SF Mollies. probable 40 baby mollies of varying batches. 3xBristlenose cat fish and probable 70 babies in ever corner of the tank. 1 pair of Kirbensis and 22 young (lots of breeding pots hidden at back of tank and rock pile on right) 3 Big gold Gourami 2 pearl Gourami 25 Platies 3 Spiney Eels which I rarely see 4 Siamese flying foxes 2 peppered cory dory 4 fat bronzed cory dory Load of glass shrimp (the cleaning crew) A few Gilled Snails Thousands of Malayan Livebearing snails and a load Ramshorns snails which have appeared from no where! And probable a few other things I've forgotten about.
Plants Kept: Plant wise there are about 50-60 types of plant pretty much every thing I can get my hands on in Australia. Including lots of java moss and riccia which I'm trying to cover the bottom of the tank with.
Tank Size: 148
Description: Its a 6ft sun sun tank that I've just put new lighting in so the lighting works out about .5 watts per litre. The bulbs are a mix (sun glow, power glow and life glow). I'm running a Co2 system and an ehiem 2078 which is great with the stream function.

About Yourself: well.. my names John.. i started with reptiles but grew tired of them and picked up the fish tank hobby... started with a 26g tank and just kept ungrading and challenging my care skills with a little more difficult fish.. i have had everything from a guppy tank to freshwater stingrays and the only fish i ever lost were feeders in my piranha tank... im finally settled down on the upgrading and sticking with my 125gallon. might change fish in the long run but for now im satisfied... thanks for taking your time to get to know a little about me... ................until next time......
Advice: OVER FILTER!!!!! and do research..know what look your going for and what fish will be best for you... alot of pet stores will sell you a fish that grows 6FEET after you told them you have a 10g tank... so just be patient.. fish tanks are ig responsibility...GOOD LUCK and happy fishin!
Fish Kept: the fish include a silver arowana.. a shoal of 22 tiger barbs half albino half reg.. theres also a shoal of tetras that includes xrays priscilla and gold.. there is a dinosaur bichir a peacock eel a tire track eel and a couple odd ball plecos... also the tank houses about 8 bamboo shrimp.. awesome cleaners.. tank has a sand substrate soon to be natural gravel though. it had %90 live plants but i used fake on top to not worry about light in the far corners..
Plants Kept: variety of freshwater plants.. from ferns to grasses to swordtails.. i use a sand substrate mixed with a type of fertilizer designed for freshwater plant keeping.. but soon adding gravel on top aswell.. my fish are getting a little wreckless and keep ripping the plants out of the substrate
Tank Size: 125
Description: tank is a standard aga 125g aquarium.. filtered by a fluval fx5 and soon to be a second one... tank is heated by 2- 200watt stealth heaters..lighting is 4- 24" plant growth and 2-48" one a color enhancer and the other a plant growth..total of 220watts... also a penguin 802 power head... ummm canopy was made by me and im in process of making a custom stand (on wheels) and then when i get new furniture i will decide the stain color of the stand and canopy...
