You can't see it that well....but I have a planted canopy on the right side of my tank which is the effort of careful pruning and gives the tank a rain forest look...

You can see my rainbow praecox, gourami, and siamensis swimming.

About Yourself: I am 25 years old and own a small tree service business. I have been keeping freshwater aquariums since i was a child and have recently got my 3 year old daughter involved in the world of aquariums. She asks mommy to go the the fish store more then I do now. I have many hobbies including riding dirt bikes, camping, fishing and of course all aspects of aquarium keeping.
Advice: I am probably not the best source for advice however knowledge and persistence seems to be a big help in nearly any endeavor I dive into. There is enough information available on the internet that you should be able to find the answer to just about any question you may have.
Fish Kept: Neon Tetras, guppy fry, otto cats.
Plants Kept: Narrow Leaf Chain Sword, Dwarf clover, Cabomba, Crypt. Wendtii, Wisteria, Java Moss, Ludwigia inclinata var. verticillata.
Tank Size: 10
Description: This has been my first planted tank. The tank has been up and running for maybe three months now and has already undergone many changes and updates. Most changes were due to new knowledge I obtained or my OCD tendencies. I am sure some of you would like to know some tank specs. I am running two DIY C02 setups injected into the back of my Tetra PF10 filter where 99% of the C02 bubbles are trapped and dispersed beneath a custom bio=sponge filter insert. I am running an economy heater that hangs on the back. I decided on Flourite substrate. For lighting I have modified the original incandescent hood to accept two 26 watt screw in CFL bulbs at 6500k. Total lumen's output is approx. 3200. I currently have my photo period set for 10 hours of light.
