Here is a full view of our aquarium as of June. As you can see, the moss has created a nice carpet in front of the rock cave and developed nicely on the driftwood. Also, the background plants have taken off nicely. Let us know what you think. |

This pic is at 4 weeks old. Plants doing very well in the Tetra Complete substrate (with sand and grit) and feeding once a week with Nutrafin Plant Gro.
08-12-07 (8 weeks) - will need to get a new pic as the plants are much bigger now. The Star Grass on the rear left has been chopped back once already. |

I lost 2 tetras in December 07. Lots of gasping from them and then death. Had a chat with the LFS and got my water checked out. I was advised to treat the tank with ‘eSHa Exit’ as the water looked fine, but the gasping could be a sign of a parasite. A week after treatment all the fish are much more active and look so much brighter!
Always take your time and use plenty of towels! |

First got interested in the hobby by taking care of roommates pirhana. Watching that thing eat was fascinating but it didn't swim much. From then on, I wanted a more 'active' tank. I started with a 20 gal., moved up to 55 gal., and finished with my current tank. I've been in the hobby (serious) for the past 5 yrs. and am still learning. There's something about an aquarium that is tranquil.

Patience. Whether its freshwater or saltwater, you're creating an living environment for aquatic life. Once your tank is up and running, maintaining it becomes a lot easier. |
