About Yourself: I grew up on the water and have always had an interest in fish. I started my very first planted tank in February 2009 and am constantly looking for new ways to improve it.

I changed my tank around and put more plants in. I focused more on putting the taller plants in the back and the shorter in the front. I also got rid of those damn prolific kribs. It looks a thousand times better than it did before, especially with the red plants i put in to contrast the green.

Fish Kept: I have tooo many fish. I originnaly had 2 Kribs, but they spawned and now there are maybe 15 of them. This doesnt include the new batch of baby krib hovering around the bottom with there parents. I also have 2 glass cats, 7 ottos, 5 corys, two large angels, 6 tiger barbs, 8 von rio tetras, a gold claw crab somwhere, two bitterlings, two white stripped loaches, 2 red tailed sharks, a gourami, and probably some others i forgot. I really need to get rid of a few.
Plants Kept: two large amazon sword plants, anubias, java fern everywhere, M. lace plant, onion plants, camboma, and a couple others.
Tank Size: 75
Description: This is the first time i have ever put a lot of thought in to a living breathing planted tank. I have 3 40 watt flourescent bulbs, a yiest CO2 reactor and I fertilize weekly with both potassium and iron supplements.

About Yourself: i'm a guy from malaysia basically started fish keeping since earlier 2007. how i started this hobby cause i think keeping fishes are quite relaxing when you watch them swim around, and another factor is that i've kept other pets like dogs, chipmunks, hamsters, birds, tortise, rabbits, so basically havent try fishes yet so this tank is my first tank. Been thru alot of trails and errors just to get it to the looks as it now, which is what i always wanted since i'd start this hobby . to have nice green real planted tank :) will move to bigger tank when i have enough money and space .. wish me luck
Advice: keep trying no matter how many "deaths" there were :P but do keep track on your spending budget
Fish Kept: erm.. Tetras, ramson snails, Red Crytals Shrimp (C), Red Cherry Shrimps, Otos, there are some more, but dont know the names :P
Plants Kept: did try out 6-7 types including bottom land plants (dont know what it's name is) sorry i dont really know the names but so far my tank only have moss and the big leaf plant as you can see :) to me is the easiest way to keep a small thank neat and tidy.

Description: Dont have much money for bigger tank, so basically this what i got. a 15 gallons small planted tank, with 22w of 'TL' lightings, a smallest water chiller, using "Algone' algae control pack, A water surface skimmer by Hagen, i started this hobby since early 2007, basically still an amature on keeping a planted tank with fish and shrimp. Currently theres 9 Tetras, 4 Otos, 2 Sesame algae eaters, 4 Red Crystal Shrimp (C), 2 Red Cherry Shrimps, 4 Babis fish and alot of babies Ramson Snails -_-"

About Yourself: 1st planted tank as a centre piece of my restaurant.
Advice: Do your research and find a local fish shop and speak to the dealer before buying anything. Most important step is to do the fishless cycle and make sure all equipment is functioning properly before putting any plants or livestock in.
Fish Kept: Glowlight tetras, Columbian tetras, gold gouramis, amano shrimps, blank neon tetras, corydoras total about 40 excluding shrimps
Plants Kept: Hygrophilla polysperma, vallisneria (thinner ones), Hygrphilla stricta (thai), java fern, java moss, cryptocoryne (not sure which variety), hairgrass, echinodorus (reddish colour)
Tank Size: 50
Description: Tank Size: 65cm cube made by Aqua One. Stock filter. D&D CO2 kit with solenoid valve and 500g disposable bottle. 2x55w Interpet T5 compact tubes mounted using home made clear perspex cover stock tank tubes plus 30W stock lighting unit totalling 140W. Stock heating tube. Some green pan scourers for cleaning algae on glass.

About Yourself: I am a 3D animator that has been an aquarist for about a year... I kept many terrariums in the past 2 years. I was into plants first and it led me from houseplants to keeping terrariums to creating aquariums and paludariums. I spend an average of 10 hours a week keeping up this tank. It is a great joy. Thank you for looking at it. It is an honor to have you view it.
Advice: Let you tank cycle... don't be a victim of new tank syndrome!
Fish Kept: 17x Zebra Danios, 1x Opaline Gourami, 1x Gold Gourami, 2x Blue Gourami, 1x Unknown Gourami, 3x Cardinal tetra's, 2x Algae Eaters,

Description: A Paludarium, both land and water. Trying to create a beautiful balance between both worlds. The tank is a 80 Gallon 48"w x 18"d x 22"h. Hagen fogger, varying bulb color / temp. Co2 injection, custom built moon lighting. 48" Orbit 4x65W SunPaq w/Lunar Lights/Fans (Current) + 40 watt Flora Glo fixture. In the pictures I had 140 watts of light. About Yourself: Love anything to do with fish..! From fishkeeping to fish catching..! I love fishing and I have caught many species of fish form the UK and France over the years from minnows to mirror carp over 30lbs. This tank started of as a coldwater tank with coarse fish, then became tropical marine, and then coldwater ornamental. and was always located at the end of my bed. (I was 16 yrs old) After leaving home and getting my own house the tank became a coldwater ornamental tanks again. I have changed the tanks style many times over the years and 23 yrs later it is now a tropical tank.
Advice: Just go with the flow..!
Fish Kept: Neon Tetra Glowlights More to follow in the future..!
Plants Kept: Echinodorus - Frans Stoffel, Latifolius. Vallisneria Siralis Various.

5 December 07:
Had to remove my Bosemani Rainbow fish as most of them were suffering from dropsy and getting skinny.
Replaced them with 22 'Head and Tail Light' Tetras (Hemigrammus ocellifer). Always wanted to buy some Cardinal tetra but I felt that the choice was such a cliché. Also think their colours are a little too overwhelming for the scape.
The new guys are doing OK. The more dominant fishes tend to establish their own territories. Introduced some Cherry Shrimp yesterday but was disappointed to find the tetras attacking them (though not all the time).... Don't think they'd make it in the long run...
