MARTINUTZ. Are you sure it's your tank that sprung a leak and not the Magnum filter? If my power goes off my Magnum will drain my tank in no time. My Magnum doesn't seal very well and sucks air in around the top when it's running causing bubbles to come out of the outlet, but if it's turned off water pours all over the place.

If I were you I'd just seal it with silicone. It's very easy to do. There's really no sense in spending $60 or more when you can fix it so easily with silicone. If you can lift up the flap why not use a razor and remove whatever you can on the inside and put down a new bead of silicone. A tube is only like $8. You'd be sealing it with the same thing aquarium makers use, and the stuff sticks to glass very well. It's actually easier than caulking a bathtub or sink. You could do it with your eyes closed.

Nice thing about new ones is there's no scratches. That's something that can't be fixed.
