you can make a 65 fresh gallons of salt water and add the water change water to your sump.take a hand full of sand out of your smaller tank to help establish.let it run for a while

and add water change water from the 20 gal tank to the 65 sump?

sorry, yes add your rock let it cycle then add substrate then add substrate from your exsisting tank..by adding some of your water change water from your 20 will help speed the cycle up

I Dont know About the substrate from the old tank what i have heard from my LFS guy is that you never take a sand bed with you or change it from tank to tank because of basically nukeing you whole tank from the bad stuff deep in the sand....my two cents, but not for sure sooo
