Depth with Amazon Sword plant
What should the substrate depth be? I think Amazon Swords have a long root system so I'm assuming they need to be buried in more substrate than plants with smaller root systems. And how tall should the aquarium be?

I don't know if there's a recommended depth, however I do know that the roots should be well buried but the crown should be above the substrate. If it isn't this could cause the plant to rot.
For aquarium height I'd go with a taller aquarium like a 20 high or 29. The plant can get pretty tall - think 1+ ft, maybe even close to 2 ft. Though, in a smaller aquarium (like a 10 gallon), I think it could be trimmed to fit.

There are dwarf amazon swords.
I thought I would point that out in case you have a tank that's too small for the full sized swords.
