Water stains on glass

How do you clean water stains off the outside of your tank? They're so annoying when I'm trying to view my fish or take pictures.

I use white vinegar, water, and paper towels because I don't know what else would be safe to use on the glass (don't want to scrape it for instance) or around my fish.

Yeah I'm especially worried about using anything potentially dangerous around my tanks. Vinegar should work too. But it's not really...maybe I'm just wiping wrong or not using the right thing to wipe with? Have you ever tried newspaper? I've heard of people using scrunched up newspaper for windows. I guess a window is more or less like the glass on a fish tank (dunno about with acrylic tanks).

If you use a coffee filter instead of paper towels it won't leave any streaks!
