Foxface with brownish blotches
What could this be? I don't see any other signs of illness from the foxface or any of the other fish.

Does it look like bruising? Maybe he poked himself on something?

It could be stress spots. If I recall foxfaces do get these.
Has anything changed recently? Could a fish be stressing him out?

I would guess that it's stress spots as well. However, stress spots normally go away pretty quickly. It's good you're concerned and trying to figure out the problem.
