Panda cories sensitivity

by _fins_

Does the tank's cycle need to be fully mature before adding in panda cories? That's the case with some fish, like otocinclus catfish I believe I remember reading somewhere. I have also read about panda cories being particularly sensitive when compared to other cories so I want to make sure my tank is ready for them and that I acclimate them correctly and everything. They're one of my favorite cories but I don't relish how sensitive they are!

I don't know for definite but it would probably be wise to have a fully mature (6 months) tank because pandas do need pretty much perfect water parameters. Some people act like they don't treat their pandas any different than their other cories but then those same people probably eventually see 'die off'. Pandas just suddenly up and dying is pretty common.
