I think it's important not to let the forum get to flashy I think the fact that its not all bells and whistles makes it seem more professional and informative. I think first order of business would be just sprucing up what they have now and making it work a little smoother than slowly and gradually move new and more innovative things. I hope that makes sense.

It sounds like everyone would like to see in this forum, are the same things you can do in almost all other forums on the net.
I would like to see an abuse button to report abuse of the forum or those who use it. I would skip the chat room, I see no need for then, but that is just my opinion. I would like to see who else is on line and maybe have moderators, but other than that this is a pretty good forum with some knowledgeable members who, with the exception of 1 or 2 bad apples are kind and respectful.

Not only an 'abuse' button, but maybe the election of some 'mods' (moderators) to monitor discussion, and give people like FreshWaterPleco the boot... haha

i would like to see M&M's come out of my cd drive while I'm on the site ........what? I thought we were dreaming of cool things here, lol

I love the site as is and I love the ideas coming in - -i second the background color - -even grey would be better than " Metal Halide white" I mean jeez I'm not a coral here .....LOL good ideas People

I wouldn't suggest an actual picture for the backround of the site I would strain the eyes ALOT mainly because of the color change it would be hard to read the text. I have some training in web design and if we were going to change the scheme of the backround to something thats best for reading it would be black backround with yellow lettering. The reason it hurts after awhile with black text and white backround is because the backround acts kinda like a lightbulb and your read the black text which would be like a shadow. I hope that makes sense..

I think that if anything, Angus simply meant adding some color and pictures to the left and right sides of the forum. Not necessarily directly behind text. I may be wrong though
