Hello again everyone!
Im almost ready to add the fish to my aquarium and I have decided on 2 parrot cichlids. It is a 35gal tank and I think that a few clown loaches would be nice to add however I'v read that they get too large for such a small tank. Is this true? My boyfriend's mom has 2 in her 40gal and they seem quite happy and get along with all of the other fish. Does anyone have any suggestions on alternatives for a beginning enthusiast?
Im also wondering if there are any readily available small types of algae eating fish on the market.
Suggestions, suggestions, suggestions please :D
One big happy aquarium

Alright then but you didnt answer my other questions. Thanks for the minimal info. hm....I'm also looking to add some more colour and sparkle to the tank. Any suggestions on some compatible fish that would brighten it up a bit? Would it be alright to add some yellow labs or something like that or are they too agressive for the blood parrots?

My 3 clown loaches have stayed smaller than 3 inches and I've had them for at least three years. I have seen bigger ones and mine are not starved. They were even in a 100 gallon tank for a couple years.

Miss Bug,
Might try looking at these - - a lot of the cichlids listed here are for 30 gallon tanks - - good luck , Snowboss
