I decided to try a refugium but Im in the dark. Im wondering if you change the water in the refugium. I have been told to do a weekly water change on it. I have read where people don't change it. However If I do a water change I will loose the little varmints that grow down there. If I don't change it Im wondering what happens to the water then. I have been told to stir the sand once in a while for the plants and then recently I was told not to disturb the sand. I was told to put a star fish, snails or shrimps in the refugium then I was told to put nothing but the plants down there. Im so confused and just need some "real" suggestions. Wondering if anyone can help me clear this up.
