My Jewel Chichlid is all alone now in a 30 gallon tank, i had to move all the other chichlids cuz he was chassing//nipping them all (2 yellow labs & a red zebra). Now that he is alone all he ever does is lay in the plants, i mean litterally 95-99% of the day. Is he depressed? Lonely? Just plain Bored? Satisfied that he has dominated my tank and now he just lays there basking in his glory? Literally the only way to get him to move is to take out the food hahaha ^_^ (ps. i dont over feed him he gets 1 pellet a day & water conditions are good)

Another possibility that i literally just thought of right now is maybe this fish is nocturnal???

ANy advice or input is appreciated?

possibly get the fish a roommate, for it only grow to about 3 inches, with another buddy or two, may help
