I had one and he only grew to 6 inches in 4 years, didn't move around that much and would do fine in a 20g long. The striped peacock is the smallest variety of spiny eels available....

Your tank is a 20long right? They do bury themselves, but not all the time. Look on my profile for my old one.

They might eat a tiny baby guppy or neon, but nothing bigger like platties or lager tetras. They love to eat chopped worms and live mosquito larva.

They will eat chopped earthworms or night crawlers(fishing bait). I had gravel, but sand is best.

They bury themselves but leave their head out. Peacock or tiretrack eels are the smallest. They will eat your shrimp!! They love ghost shrimp.
