can you explain yourself a little clearer

you mean, gph to square feet of bio load...explain clearer

okay I will take a shot at this even though a clearer explanation would help.

For instance, if your tank is 100 gallons ("tanks size"), you should have a "water rotation cycle" (as you put it) of at least 1,000 gph (gallons per hour) which in turn will help the "bio" or bacteria in the filter or, on the other hand, if you mean "bio" as in bio balls, if your tank is 100 gallons, then you should have over 350 bio balls in the wet/dry system which will give you about 7,350 square feet of "bio" or bacteria within the surface of the bioballs.

In other words, chemistry and math or "proper equation"...again, it would help to explain clearer your explanation of the issue. I gave you the best "interpretation" for your "proper equation" but I would prefer not to place "words" within "words" and just simply explain your question in a more clearer way.

Thanks
