Ok, so does that happen to anybody else?
I just got home from college and my tank is doing great. It has been running for just a little over a year now, and nothing could be going better. So I just went to the fish store, and bought a purple tang, one that I have had my eye on for some time. And I knew that this was going to cause problems in my tank because i have a 7 inch blue tang, who is aggressive and would not like a new addition to "his tank". Well for about 2 hours after adding the new fish to the tank, he blue tang pushed him around, I guess to try and weaken him. It is really hard to watch this, but I knew it would stop. Is anybody else have a dominate fish in their tank? how do you try and control them? I tried to put some food in after I added the new fish and that seemed to distract the blue tang for a while. Any other suggestions? Thanks!
Love and Hate buying new fish..

seperate them. Im surprised the purple tang isnt tearing up the blue. crazy. LFS bought a black tang.....it was awesome. Well he put it in his tank with 4 other purple tangs...they started using there scalpel left and right. The black tang didnt make it. They just dont get along. I would try to sell your blue tang.
