discoloration of yellow tang

I know they say stress causes it, but the fish has been in the tank for almost two weeks. everything seems normal. ph, salt, nitrate, temp is a lilte high because i live in texas. its 78. nothing is really picking on it he is 5 inchs and heathly..... any advice?

hummm how much are you feeding it and what are you feeding it. where at in tx btw

yeah blue hit the nail on the head. Its more than likely food causing it. What kind of algae does he get? Anything you can give him in algae the better....he needs brown green and red to stay healthy. And all three can be ordered or found in sheets.

do you have a protein skimmer? That may help as well. The increased oxygen levels help with coloration in tangs.
