Tiger is not ready for salt! But when I am done renting and get moved into a house, in the next few years, I would like one. Long ways to go for that.

I would not do 2 gourami, unless it is 2 females. You'll either have 2 males, in which case they'll fight all the time. Or you'll have 1 male and 1 female and the male will pester the lone female all the time. In a 30g you have plenty of room for 3 so get 1 male and 2 females or 3 females.
