Hello. Get the basic equipment (outlined above) and start cycling.

Remember planning is the key. For your water changes it would be nice (for me necessary) if you had a barrel (about half or at least 1/4 of your aquariums volume) and use it to pretreat the water for your water changes. Aerating tap water in the barrell (make sure that its chemical-free - don't get a barrell from the construction yard next to your home) will remove chlorine.
Since my tap water is alcaline, i use peat (stuffed in a stocking) to lower the pH. So as soon as its time for the water change, the water has been treated for both pH and chlorine.

If you plan ahead, cycle correctly, do your regular water changes and don't overfeeed-overstock, you will find out that it's a lot easier than it may seem.
