do swordtails get on with tetras?

my friend has offered me some of his swordtail fry and i would like to have some but i am also very fond of glowlights and neons and other tetras. does anyone know whether they get on or shall i avoid pairing them.

i am sure that they will be fine they are both very peacefull fish but they should be keep in groups and they will be happier than if they are just singled out.

just make sure they are a good size when you get them i would put them in a q tank if you have the ability and make sure that you acclimate well being that they are so small ant tiny they will probally not be very tolerante of big swings in waters from tank to tank
if you dont have a q tank to mut them i would put some kind of mesh over your filter intake so they dont get sucked up

Once they're a decent size to survive in your main tank it'll be no worries.

I have a swordtail (only one left from an old tank many years ago), and its in the same tank with neon, cardinal, congo and rummynose tetras and harlequin rasboras.
