dude you dont need to add lugols in the tank do you ? that will cause brown algae to grow fast. how much did you add to the tank ? do you have any corals yet?

ok so this may sound like a dumb question but the skimmer comes with the mag drive 3 pump, that sucks water into the skimmer correct? due to the 1/4 circle shape of my tank what kind of koralia do i need to get and where would i position it?

Personally i would put 2 Koralia's in there one on each side in the back and let the flow meet in the middle {front} of the tank and vortex from there - - - you could put one up high and one low and get a cross curent going - - -you'll just have to experiment with them

i would get K 2's or 3's at least - - - thats an odd shaped tank so over current won't hurt at all

would one one each side wall right next to the bow side, one pointing downwards toward the adjacent corner and one kinda facing the middle of the adjacent wall towards the top?? wow that sounds complicated

it will sure slow it down, but you will always have to clean the aquarium, theres no miricle set up thats completly self sufficient, lol

and yes you have the right idea on placment there - - you will see in a week or so where the "dead" spots are as there will be algae in those ares. I have a spot about the size of a baseball that shows up right on the front of my tank every couple weeks because a large piece of rock deflects flow in that area, i just hit it with the mag float and it's fine
