Pimp, think you have a bad starter, and it weakend the last GFI and the new GFI held it for a bit but now the fixture has degraded to the point that a good GFI won't hold it anymore..............sorry to say but that fixture is getting to the dangerous point, time for a pro to look at it or replace it bud,

Anyway most of the gear i work with is flame proof, explosion proof enclosures. Do what we call here code D reports, which is generally measurements and checks to see if it performs like it should under extreme condition. But break downs are a bastard, like i was saying to Blueshoes, underground pitch black and wet mud. But i suppose every job has a downside.
