The great thing about the Dwarfs are you don't need to change anything. Maybe add a cave or two, but that is about it :-)

I know nothing about catfish, sorry.

thanks again, are the ones they sell at petsmart that ass. cichlid not dwarfs? cuz they are small but say adult size 6-8 inches. also would if i found a store that has more variety of cichlids would they be able to order some you think?

No, the ones in the assorted tanks are mbunas and they will mostly get around 6-7". They are not the fish you want. They are only small when you see them in the store because they are young.

thats what i thought but i wanted to make sure, before i bought some cuz the people tat work out there dont know much of anything they just say yeah they are cichlids i dont know if the are dwarfs. some people! are any dwarf cichlids good for my tank or are they just the rams?

Read up on dwarf cichlids. I think most all would be fine. I only have experience with rams.
