To allow or not to allow one Apple snail in the tank?
Hi. I wanted to add one apple snail to my 10 gallon tank. I know it will not reproduce because I checked to make sure its a male. One problem though, is I've seen it attack my plants. I wonder if there is any option to make it avoid my planted plants? and whether one snail can be of any benefit to health of the aquarium? Any thoughts and ideas are appreciated.

Impossible. It's a voracious green eating machine that will not stop until your tank has been obliterated.

Sorry, I had to since you went ahead and disreguarded everyone's advice without so much as a reply and went and got your own desires. ;) No worries not like I haven't done that before..
Uh. Snails don't really usually do much live plant damage. Usually when people say they're attacking their plants its because there's bacteria, organic, or decaying matter on the leaves that the snails are actually eating. Unless its punching giant holes in leaves and laying entire stalks to waste I wouldn't worry.
