What kind of algae could be growing on my rock? Is there any way to ID algae? I was thinking if I could ID, I might be able to take care of it easier...

Could you describe it? There's quite a few common types of algae found in saltwater aquariums. Off the top of my head I know of bubble algae and Caulerpa Racemosa which I think might be like seaweed, an edible green algae. But there's a lot more than that, unfortunately lol. Is it green in color? Hairy or smooth looking?
