Rice fish - FAO Tetrafan!
Tetrafan, have you (or anyone else here) heard of these? They remind me a lot of Rainbow fish which is why I thought of you when I first heard mention of them the other day!

Wow I did a quick read up on them and they sound fascinating! I'll have to add them to my list of new fishes to get! I don't know how expensive they might be though?! I haven't seen them for sale before - in stores or online!

I have no idea how much they might cost. I read somewhere they were only discovered in 2010? So I'm guessing they're pretty rare and likely expensive too. Still, an interesting fish. I heard the females will carry their eggs around on their fins for awhile until they figure out where they want to 'lay' them.

Cool, I love learning about new fish. I was wondering why they're called rice fish - apparently it's because they're often found in rice paddies in Japan and other places.
