Centerpiece fish ideas?
I was wondering if anybody had any centerpiece fish ideas for a 55 gallon?

Well, rams are smaller (not sure what size fish you had in mind) but a pair would make a great centerpiece, especially if all your other fish are a lot smaller. They really stand out then.
They are pretty finicky though. I'm not sure I'd recommend them if your tank (ie the cycle) isn't very mature.

Ah yeah, I'm not sure I'd want to try rams just now then, if you think they wouldn't last long.
Any other ideas? Maybe some other type of cichlids? I have always loved cichlids.

Angels? Or maybe rainbow cichlids?
What kind of tankmates do you want to keep with them?

Would you like a tank with just cichlids? You could do shell dweller cichlids then. A 55g would be a great size for a colony of some of the smaller or the bigger species.
