lighting question

by samik

ok so when we first started our little aquatic indevor we were clueless and probly still our but thats beside the point. i have a Current USA PowerCompact Satellite dual 96 wt system. i think the T5 lights would be better. im not for sure if i could get away with replacing my 96 wt bulbs with T5 bulbs. is it plausable or what. or is what i got good enough. oh its for my 65 gl would like to get some nice coral down the road but for now i have haitian anamones and kenya tree.
any advice is great..... samik

No you can not switch the bulbs. USA Current powercompacts has their own ballsts that no other brand matches with. T5 has a bit higher spectrum, but it's hardly visible to human eyes, but corals and anemones would appreciate it. But in my opinion there's not much of a different between a high quality powercompact ( such as current) and a T5 system.. +T5's are more expensive. You can keep most corals with power compacts.
