1/ Goldfish are cool water fish. Tetras, barbs, danios, guppys are tropical fish. NOT compatible
2/ Goldfish will eat small fish if it can
3/ If you want to keep goldfish, then others are out.

2 yrs is not something i would bragging about. Goldfish lifespan should be something like 20yrs.
Heating them up shortens their lifespan as it speeds up their metabolism.

Hey, goldfish are awesome! But i agree that they need to be kept at cooler temperatures which means that all tropical fish are off limits. Maybe it's time to invest in a bigger tank? Get a 55 gallon, which could house two or three goldies, then turn your 30 gallon into a tropical community tank?

I never stated they cant live in a warmer tank, just that they shouldnt as it shortens their lifespan!
I dont care how long your goldfish has lived with smaller fish, once the goldfish is large enough that the smaller fish will fit in their mouth, they WILL eat them, just a matter of when.
I have a pond that i stocked with a small native minnow, i decided to add some tint comets to the pond, they grew and as they grew the community of minnow got smaller until there were none left lol
You do what you wish of course, but as a voice of experience, its a mistake lol
