photographing tank

by natalie265

Can someone give me some tips on photographing my tank? I can't get a good shot of the entire tank. How do people get such sharp images of their tank? When i try to get my entire tank into the frame it ends up losing all the detail. Plus the bright lights on top tend to cause problems. I'm sure a better camera would help, but i'm not sure that is the entire problem.

try photographing at night, room lights off, tank lights on, no flash. some cameras also have a panorama function.

I photograph at night, tank lights only. I use the handheld night feature on my camera...works a treat!

If i take a photo through the day, generally i use flash, as this gets rid of many of the room reflections in the tanks glass. There is a trick to using the flash though, just takes practice
