anubias is an excellent starter plant - it is hardy, that is, it will maintain itself regardless of any harsh condition in the tank: (unless of course if a fish likes to eat the plant), water conditions, lighting levels, a lot or little of aeration, huge amounts of decay in the gravel or none at all...it is a very hardy plant - but it does grow very slow, but this is a good thing for the plant will grow as you grow with the hobby, understand?

anubias comes in all types of variations, this would be a great start

live plants should help the tank for it stabilizes the nitrate levels

absolutely no need for a C02 bubbler with anubias

let us know what you do
