Your tank is not big enough for discus or angels. Do you have any other ideas?

Yes. That is too small for discus and angels.

a discus fish costs more than your tank and setup...try platys or mollies or tetra, guppies, leopard or zebra danios are fast little fish...and get a power filter before you get anything

first cycle your tank with either 2 - 3 zebra danios or tetras even cherry barbs, make your pick (no more than 3 fish of one group in the tank)

after the cycling process, then we can discuss what else - though in a 20 gallon tank it is best not to have many fast moving fish (stream/river) for they need plenty room to swim in - so best bet would be something along the lines of platys or mollies

but first cycle, then we go from there, okay?

agree w vasherkoach. my 14g has platys, my 20g has mollys. and some types of mollies[sailfin]can be too large for a 20g. i have aquaclear50 power filters on both tanks

A 52 gallon is sufficiently large to house discus, but not very many and I've heard that the more discus you own the more active and colorful they are. You could probably get a nice group of angels in there though.
