BTW, most of the beneficial bacteria are in the filter NOT GRAVELS! unless you have an undergravel filter. The bacteria or you call BB needs water movement and oxygen to survive that’s why undergravel filter works! It creates more water movement where the bacteria can grow and survive in the GRAVELS.
Alasse you still need a lot of learning.

You guys are hilarious, carry on.
Did we ever find out what the 'mystery disease' actually was?
*adding fuel to the fire*
100% water change is 100 per cent of the water removed, thus 'changed' when you add 100% water back in.

No, you're the one who doesn't make sense, 100% water change on tanks with gravel lol...pointless, nonsense. the amonia and nitrites are in the gravel. water cloudiness? unless its a brand new tank and new filter, sure but used gravels because BB there? you're amateur, claiming experience. water cloudiness...LOL

Ya know Holidays it's called a 'water change' because you change the water when you do a water change, it's got nothing to do with the gravel, ornaments, filter, nothing, it's to do with the percentage of water you take out.

I agree with holiday the beneficial bacteria are in the filter. The gravels are only for aesthetic appearance, it really doesn't really have much bacteria in it. Keep it bare if you want to do 100% water change.
