Im new to RatemyFishTank.... i Love Fish Tanks!!

I have a 60 Gallon Cichlid Tank that has been set up just over a month now, home to 5 cichlids & i also have a 47 gallon tall tank that is home to 3 four year old loaches & a four year old Ghost Fish that measures in well over a foot my best guess would be 14-16" easily and a one year old spotted pleco!

Love seeing all of your fish tanks... Hopfully you will enjoy mine, I will upload more photos of my fish and tanks in the coming days or weeks

I vote "yes" on adding a background. Welcome to the forum.

I've never done a background on any tank and im not sure what would look good with my tank, i see those designs at the LFS but cant picture them on my tank...

would a solid black background look good? Does anyone know of a website that sells nice backgrounds?

Solid black backgrounds are my personal favorite, and i think it'd look great on your tank. Maybe http://www.drsfostersmith.com/?

this time around, I will take a different point of view -

because of the all white sand, if the background as it is is left alone, the green plants will have a very nice effect with just a white background

usually I would say a black background...but in your case, an all white background will be just fine

let us know how you decide

and one other note -

in order to compliment the all white background, you should go for fish that are of a darker shade (((just a thought)))
