Well, what do they look like?
Do you have a picture or a description?
They could be a ton of things, and maybe not so bad to have them depending what they are. I need to know a bit more.

i read up a bit n sounds like palairna worms , if i spelled that right , but ive spent the day taking down my whole fishtank and scrubbed the shit outta every thing, boiled plants rocks n decor ,new filter, reffilled tank ,put the freshwater salt i needed.now just hoping my fish survive the process.they looked like tiny lil slugs like the size of a tenth of an eyelash. sounds like there from uneaten food which when i cleaned gravel i found alot. i feed them tetra cichlid pellets, i left town 4 weeks ago n had some 1 caring 4 them so they probably overfed.theyve never had fish but was only person id trust with my house key.

Were these things causing a problem? They could have been beneficial. Have you looked up copepods?
