Cycling a new tank.....
What are the best fish to cycle a tank with?

FISHLESS!!!!Do yourself a favor! Ask someone who already has an established tank and ask them if you could have a filter pad from their filter. It already has a beneficial bacteria colony on it and if you put that filter pad in front of the new filter pad it will colonies in days not weeks. I have started 11 tanks in the last 6 months and followed this process and never had an issue. Not one single fish death or sickness! good luck!

Thanks for your suggestions.............. I think I'll go cut up a shrimp. Don't you think that will be the fastest!!

That is how i've always done ti. It rots creating ammonia and also feeds the bacteria. I'm not talking a shrimp from the pet store. I'm talking a shrimp from the grocery store just to be clear.
