I have a 75 gallon tank with some live and dead plants. i have a tiki hut and a cove which are already occupied by other fish. i want to create more spots for the cichlids to go but i do not want to go through cleaning rocks all the time. What are my other options without over crowding the tank? Thanks

If you do frequent enough water changes and keep nitrates low you shouldn't have an algae problem.

yes like PK said, if you do the recommended water changes and test your water for ammonia and nitrates every week, Algae won't build up. Also make sure you are not leaving your light on too much. I have holy rocks in my tank, and built caves for my cichlids. No issue, I have to change my water once every 2 weeks. But that is because I have 2 filters on my tank (60 and 70 gal).
