How do you control the sex ratio for african cichlids when it is near impossible to determine sex for many species(atleast when their juveniles)?
I am planning a Malawi Cichlid tank and want to include some Pseudotropheus demasoni, but I have read that sex ratio is very important with this species because of their aggression. I am buying all my cichlids as juveniles so am unable to determine sex. So how do I control the sex ratio? Or should I just hope that because they will grow up together in the same tank they will be able to get along?
thanks for your help

I beleive the ration is supposed to be 2 or 3 females to 1 male. But thats just what I've read, I have no experience with this.
