Low ratings?

Low ratings?
Just clicked through a few of the planted tank photos and, man, there are some AWESOME tanks on this site! My question is, why do all of the ratings tend to be so low? Even the most kick ass tanks, probably some of the best looking tanks in the WORLD, rarely rate higher than a 6.5 or so! What is going on?

I don't know, but it is the trend on this site. My guess is people rate according to what *they* like, and not according to the individual merits of the tank.

I agree..... Perhaps our planted tanks are being compared to Takashi Amano's or something. Or maybe some folks are mad because they got a low rating so they go through and rate low. Or maybe some people just have a stick up their ass.
I pay more attention to the ranking. I have a picture of one of my fish that is ranked #27 out of 5660....and that's more interesting to me than the rating. So watch that number...I think it is more indicative of what people really think of your picture.
