Sounds kinda naughty... I have a Emerald Cory and was wanting to get him(?) a friend. I did. She(?) is smaller than the first one and the coloring is different. Not much, but a little darker. Is there any way to tell a male from female Emerald. I'm actually wondering if they gave me the wrong type of fish by accident. It's a cory, but maybe not emerald. HELLLLLLLP!

Well from what I know, females should be slightly larger then the males but that also depends on the age of each. The females should have a more pinkish belly while males will have a slightly more yellowish belly.

As for the type of cory, I wouldn't be able to tell unless I saw a picture.

I will attempt to take a few pics. I have a hard time figuring out how to get good light without a big flash/reflection off the tank.
