Do you add aquarium salt to you Betta tank?

by Zambize4899

I have read that Bettas appreciate a pinch of aquarium salt. Any experience with this? Opinions?

i use salt in all of my tanks... in my 25g planted tank i have one black/yellow half moon betta male, one blue half moon butterfly female, a teal blue double tail half moon female and a white/red fancy female, and all of them have been doing well with the recomended amount of salt in the tank...

Yes you can add slt to a betta tank even though they don't need it

I have two males, each in his own tank (5 gallon and a 6.6 gallon), and three females in a 28 gallon tank who will soon have friends added, probably some male Guppies and some GloLite Tetras. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your response. Do the Bettas like salt better? Is there any benefit? Or would I just be limiting myself regarding other fish I may want to add to the tank later?
