Tank clean Up

by littlej2455

Hey. I was thinking of christmas ideas to tell my family. And I thought of having my LFS coming to my house and cleaning up my tank. By that I mean cleaning out my sump, pumps, protien skimmer, and the tank as a whole. How much do you think something like this would cost? (I have a 125 gallon tank) What is your opinion on doing something like this?

oh and I heard of a guy who was getting a tank serviced. Sacked the guy once watching video footage of him in the office, and all he did was magnet cleaned glass, stired the gravel up and wiped down glass with a cloth. Ripped off hard core was getting it done for ages beforehe relised. and paying full service rates for minor service work.

alright so I was just cleaning out my sump and one of the pumps was giving me a problem. I bought the pump with my protein skimmer and I do not have the instructions with me. I tried to putt the thing apart so I can clean out the propeller blades. The pump is made from two main parts and no screws. So does anyone know how to get inside?
