9 month old starfish basically came apart this morning. Dead. Was interested in what the cause could be.? No predator fish. Just curious. thanks, cyo

Its probably starving, sand stars need alot of microfauna in the sand bed,also they will consume a ton of it, in most tanks people don't give the fauna a chance to develop enough, and adding preditory fish and corals, and stars to soon destroys the fauna ...just my opinion..mabie others have ideas..
