the thing with baby tears abd hair grass is that they are high light plants, mostly for the reason that they are way at the bottom of the tank, you would probally need 4wpg in orger to get than carpet effect, and also both of thoes plants do better with suplimental Co2 with that you will really get the carpet effect that you are looking for,
Java moss on the otherhand is a low light plant before i upgraded my lighting from <1wpg to 5wpg i had java moss in my tank and it did fine, i dont know about christmass tree moss though but for the most part mosses even non aquatic are low light plants. so thoes should do fine if you do not have the high lighting

When you say 'more' moss does that mean you already have java moss? It uh...can really get massive over time in almost any tank, so if you waited awhile you probably wouldn't have to purchase more, or get more from another source..
Any of the cuttings you can mash together and allow to freefloat or tie onto another piece of decor..you name it. The stuff is really hardy and versatile.
a1 is right as far as the rest of your plants are concerned. You'll need 3-4wpg and CO2 for a healthy heavy carpet.

that is just over 1wpg so i bet you could ter hairgrass abd dwarf tears to "stay alive" but i do not think you would be able to get the cover that you are looking forand as far as your co2 diy is good but compressed gas is much better you can keep and sustain you co2 ppm unlike with DIY when it is producing the most gass only for a smally length of time .....
