por mans reef!

by lionlord3502

time at work has been cut and funds are cut real low so i had a shitty 10g nano what a piece of rock and that lets try going back to the roots of the hobby.
a realy good friend of mine told me in the 70's thay would take live rock put it in a tank and see what happens. so i did just that. bought about 10 pounds of realy nice rock addaed some coropa alge and just let it grow. know i am seeing ornge, pink, yellow, and red spunges growing some realy weird spong that no one can id and a few sps and soft corals growing. i have added one of the last coarls that i had to the tank and fish. 4 mounths have gown by and the tank looks awsome and no money invested in coarls. for all the newbes out there ypu dont need tones of money to starte a reef tank just a little time and love. the tank has olny about 200 invested and i love it. just thought id share for people that keep saying that saltwater is to expence.
