veggie oil for backround

any one do this or is it just me? if not what do you do to make your backround stick?

if u use oil put it on like window tint it will look great color will stand out alot more then tape.

i tried it before... no worky... you could use a thin layer of elmers school glue... it dries clear... but it's pretty much fail and aids to take it off...

you did not use enough oil.i had 4 tanks for over 5 years and most tanks are gone now but the back round is still on all of them.makes your backround come to life

the backround i used was too wrinkled and used to being rolled up... so it got long bubbles along the back... another tank i tried the oil too, but the backround paper was too big i guess... both of these tanks were 100g tanks...


so now i use spraypaint, tiles or no backrounds at all...

paint works good 2. i have used the plastic backround with oil.

How do you apply the veggie oil?

Spray bottle? Brush?

i did it before i set up the tank.i just poured it on. i guess a brush or sprayer would work.just use alot , use your id or somthingto get all the bubbles out. ps{dont spray in tank...lol}

I used vasoline, its a little diff to smooth out, but it looks great. In some areas i was trying to get the air out, and i looked in the tank, and it was like clouds and streaks, i like it, so i left it.
