HELP OVERDOSAGE!!!!

Okay so I was dosing my iodine tonight.......like normal, I test it and if its low I add if its not...........i add a little. :) SOo im dosing the tank and the BIG cap comes off the bottle and pours about 2 months worth of iodine in the tank........and its long lasting iodine from Kent marine. Help. Please. Is this a problem?

That's not too good. If you have ( had ) any shrimp in your tank, they're unfortunately (probably) dead by now. Corals and fishes can tolarate high iodine levels for longer period of time, but it's certainly not healthy for them.

Do a big waterchange, and a couple of small frequents after that.

Thanks man, I worked all day today.......soo i havent had a chance. I read that carbon takes iodine out of water faster than anything as well as trace elements. I dosed traced elements just a minute ago and last night about 1 am I dropped in a ton of activated carbon to pull out the iodine..........evidently it worked. Nothing has died, I just did a head count. I will be doing a water change tomorrow though, just to be safe!. :)
